Charles Spurgeon although deceased is still teaching people to this day. This book is a compilation of Spurgeon's own struggles and bouts with depression. We so often consider men and women of mighty faith to be strong and sturdy, but even the spiritual giants were weak and frail. We are in good company when we are sorrowful and depressed.
The key to depression is to battle it and fight against it. This is where the victim becomes the overcomer. Overcoming depression does not happen overnight. It is a battle...a journey that cute anecdotes do not fix. You'll learn through this book that overcoming sorrow of the soul is something that requires faith, truth, a renewed mindset, and hope that is outside of yourself.
In this brief book you will learn the correct definitions of depression and what depression is and isn't. To follow, you will learn the process of overcoming and finally you will understand how to better fight depression and help those under depression to cope with supportive hope.
This is a great resource for both the depressed and those who have yet to experience it.
